Rotating lasers for precise grade control

Afgen has been a major role player in the surveying industry since 1945 and their workshop is SABS accredited. They serve the construction, mining, surveying, and heavy-duty equipment industry aiming to provide the right tool for the right application at the right time. An estimated 30 to 40% of construction grade work involves planar surfaces. For these applications, laser instruments such as the Rugby 300 and 400 products play a large role in aiding builders and contractors in automating rough and final dual grading tasks due to their strong ability to achieve vertical (elevation) accuracy. The Rugby rotating laser is a robust laser transmitter that emits a thin beam of light that rotates 360º, creating a grade reference over the complete building site. The transmitter is mounted on a tripod so that the laser beam can rotate unobstructed above the working area. A digital receiver, mounted on a cut and fill rob is used to detect the laser beam. The beeper fitted in the Rod-Eye Pro Laser Detector emits an audible tone that indicates on-grade, high or low. These rotating lasers are the optimal solution for precise grade control in level, single or dual slopes.
