Background

Afgen was established in 1946.

We are a specialist company focusing on the supply of surveying instruments and related products to the surveying, construction, mining
and earth moving industries and the manufacture of alignment laser products for mining and tunneling applications.

Afgen is a market leader through having the technical expertise with the basic infrastructure necessary to supply and service our product
range.

Location

We are based in Midrand, Gauteng, midway between Johannesburg, the business hub of South Africa, and Pretroria, the administrative
capital. Both cities are within easy access of our offices. We are easily accessible from the major freeways and O R Tambo International
Airport.

Our offices, service centre and warehouse are situated in the pleasant estate of the Kyalami Business Park (next door to the internationally renowned Kyalami Racetrack).

Design and manufacture

We design and manufacture a range of alignment laser products for use in various mining and tunneling applications. These products have
South African Bureau of Standards approval for use in hazardous areas and our customers include all of the major mining houses in
Southern Africa. We also export these products to various countries around the world.

We are committed to continuous in house research and development of these products in association with our customers.

Surveying and related products

We are the Southern African distributors of surveying and related products from many well known international companies including Leica Geosystems, Pentax, Altus and Kolida.

Our product range includes GPS, Total Stations, Theodolites, Levels, Laser Levels, Machine Automation products, Alignment Laser products
and all surveying accessories.

Sales

We have a dedicated team of sales representatives who are committed to our customers and who are fully conversant with all of the
technical details and uses of all products in our product range.

After Sales Service

We have a fully operational and equipped service centre, staffed by trained technicians, which supports the servicing and repair of our
product range.
